Fall camp begins at 6:50 p.m. Thursday at Huskie Stadium for Northern Illinois, and here is what you can expect.
First, practices are open to the public. Click here for the times and dates of each practice. Those times and dates are subject to change, but we’ll be sure to let you know if they do.
On the blog: Much like spring football, we’ll have practice reports to let you know who is playing well, who is struggling, as well as any interesting news and notes from the day. Later in camp, when the depth chart begins to solidify, we’ll have positional breakdowns.
In the Daily Chronicle: Also much like spring football, this is where you can go for all of the in-depth stories about the Huskies. We’ll have plenty of them and hopefully our coverage from the MAC and Chicago media days have whet your appetite for what’s to come.
Video: Expect to see a couple of videos a week of interviews with your favorite players and coaches. You can revisit our videos from spring football on our YouTube channel.
Twitter: Stuck at work? Can't get out of class to come watch? We’ll have live updates from practice and the way to get those is to follow us on Twitter. Do you see the blue box on the right side of this page? Click it and follow us at HuskieWire.
About those new guys: Players in their first semester at NIU (incoming freshmen and transfers) are off-limits to the media before the first game. We’ll be writing about them of course, and last season the coaches were open to talking about them after the first few practices, but don’t expect to see any quotes directly from the new players until after the Wisconsin game.
I’ll see you out there. Don’t be afraid to come say hello.
