Northern Illinois guard Jake Anderson has withdrawn his name from the NBA Draft and has returned to NIU for his junior season, the Daily Chronicle has learned.
Anderson attended a team meeting today and is back on campus. NIU coach Ricardo Patton declined to comment on Anderson's return through NIU media relations and Anderson is unavailable for comment.
Anderson originally declared for the draft on April 30, but did not hire an agent. Anderson averaged a team-leading 16.9 points to go along with 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game last season, and was named to the All-Mid-American Conference second team.
