Local Roundup: Stevens resigns from NIU basketball post

Northern Illinois men’s basketball director of basketball operations Scott Stevens has resigned to pursue other coaching opportunities, the Daily Chronicle has learned.

G-K to host wrestling minicamp on June 5
There will be a free minicamp at Genoa-Kingston High School for students in grades sixth through 12 (for the upcoming school year) from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on June 5.

Coaches from the G-K High School wrestling team, along with junior high and club coaches, will teach athletes and there will be a focus on instruction presentation for beginners and experienced wrestlers. All wrestlers will learn the fundamentals of wrestling and have the chance to drill basic and advanced moves.

There also will be a pound-per-pound lift-athon before the minicamp, and will be held from 8-9:30 a.m.
