DeKALB - A 12-year-old girl was taken to the hospital Sunday after she rode her bicycle into a PT Cruiser. According to a police report, the girl was riding her bicycle east on State Street just before 7 p.m. when she rode into the intersection with 10th Street. The bicycle struck the passenger side of the vehicle and she went off the bicycle and struck the windshield, the report said. She was taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital, but her injuries were not reported. Neither the 22-year-old driver of the vehicle nor the girl was cited.
