DeKALB - What does a nuclear-powered submarine, a rocky mountaintop, the island of Manhattan, a humpback whale and a World War II navy destroyer all have in common?
They were all part of Boy Scout Troop 33's recent adventure tour.
A group of Scouts and leaders from DeKalb's Troop 33 recently returned from an adventure-filled tour of the northeastern region of the United States.
Scouts toured New York City, spending only $6 for an unlimited subway pass besides buying lunch and dinner.
What can you see in New York City on the cheap?
Scouts took the free Staten Island Ferry to downtown New York City. The Scouts navigated the subway, zigzagging their way across the very core of the “Big Apple.”
