Cold comforts draw to a close

While many are happy to see winter's grip leave, the Boy Scouts of Troop 33 will miss these cold, gray days. They were filled with unique adventures not possible during the rest of the year. Driving a dog sled down a wooded trail in northern Wisconsin was a dream come true, one of many dreams coming true for them this winter. Imagine traveling by snowshoe miles across the frozen surface of Lake Superior to discover intricate ice caves along the rugged Apostle island national lakeshore. Another weekend found them at 24 below zero as they snowmobiled along wooded trails and across frozen lakes, exploring 60 miles of northern wilderness.
